Gnocchi in sardine sauce

  • 180g Gnocchi N° 54 Agnesi
  • 10 salted sardine Fillets
  • 1/2 red or white onion
  • Fresh milk, as required
  • 1 bsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • Lemon juice


  1. Rinse the sardines slightly to remove all excess salt, then leave aside for about 30 minutes in a plate with fresh milk.
  2. In the meantime, chop the onion into thin slices. Heat 1 tbsp. of olive oil in a pan and brown the onion.
  3. Strain the sardines, add to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes, creating a sauce.
  4. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water for about 7 minutes, drain and add to the pan with the sardine sauce. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the lemon juice and serve.
